Pledge Care started from a small but persistent thought, that the quiet routines of the people we love are too easy to forget, and too painful to keep checking. We wanted to build something gentler than a reminder, lighter than a tracker, and warmer than a task list.
The invisible weight we wanted to lift
Most of us carry a quiet list inside our heads. Your mother's evening medication. Your partner's morning walk. The promise you made to yourself last Sunday. None of it is dramatic, but all of it adds up.
Existing apps mostly tell people to be more disciplined. We felt the real problem was different: the invisible follow-up between the people who love each other. The "did they remember?" thought that sits in the back of the mind. The reluctance to ask, because asking feels like checking up.
Pledge Care was built to take that weight and make it shared, gently, quietly, and without the surveillance feel.
The philosophy: care, not control
This is the line we keep coming back to: care, not control. Every product decision is measured against it.
That is why Pledge Care does not have streaks, badges, leaderboards, or pressure mechanics. It does not nudge you to nag the people you love. It does not turn relationships into productivity dashboards.
When a pledge is kept, you know, quietly. When it is not, you can choose to step in, gently. The app stays in the background, holding the small things you carry, so the relationship itself can stay in the foreground.
Built small. Built honestly.
Pledge Care is built by a very small team. Every line of code, every illustration, every line of copy, including this page, has been written with care, not by committee. We move slowly when slowness serves the product, and quickly when speed protects the user.
We answer every support email personally. We read every review. When something breaks, a real person responds, usually within a day.
